On this USMBOOKS web page we are offering four superb heavily illustrated rare hardcover “art encyclopedias” that were published in Germany between 1988 and 1995. The four huge 10-1/4 x 13-1/8 inch Kunst in Deutschland 1933-1945 books cover only Nazi architecture, sculpture and paintings in beautiful color and black & white pictures and have tri-lingual text in German, English and French. The four out-of-print books contain a total of 2,142 glossy pages, 3,630 illustrations and together weigh 27 pounds!
These four huge Kunst in Deutschland 1933-1945 books were published by Grabert Verlag in Tübingen between 1988 and 1995. Each high quality Third Reich art encyclopedia measures 10-1/4 x 13-3/8inches (26 x 33-½ cm) and is over an inch thick!
You will see and recognize some familiar pieces of art amongst the astonishing 3600+ illustrations in these books, but we assure you there will be dozens and dozens of examples you have never seen. Many were never published in Nazi art magazines or exhibition catalogs during the Third Reich and many were lost during World War II or destroyed after the demise of the Adolf Hitler’s Greater Germany.
All four books are in very nice, near-new condition, inside and out. All four have their original dust jackets and are still in their original protective cardboard sleeve.
