Scenery, bridges, a view from Walhalla near Regensburg, farm animals, farmers, vineyards and the grape harvest in the Wachau, historical castle ruins on the river bank, churches, and more in places such as Ulm, Regensburg, Deggendorf, Kelheim, Passau, Braunau, St. Florian, Linz, Spitz, Krems, the Wachau, etc.

Die deutsche Donau (The German Danube) is a fine Nazi photo book with a very competent text and 47 color Agfa photos. It was produced in 1939 by Kurt Peter Karfeld and Adolfo Artur Kuhnert after the reunification of Austria with Nazi Germany in 1938 when the most picturesque part of the famous river had become part of Großdeutschland.

Every photo has information about the camera and lens that was used, shutter speed and film. The lovely color photos are fully indexed and there is text covering some history of the area along the Danube as well.

This 8-5/8 x 9-3/4 inch, 80 page linen hardcover book was published by Paul List Verlag of Leipzig. It is complete and in very nice used condition.   The cover shows wear, but the interior pages are in very nice shape.  No odor.
