This 88 year old Nazi book came from the library of the Betriebszellen Organisation (Business Department) of the NSDAP Ortsgruppe St. Johannis in Nürnberg, Gau Franken where it was stamped as their book number 64. Their 35mm round eagle and swastika stamp appears inside the front cover as well as on pages 1, 18, 33, 41, 51, 65, 79 and 100!
This fine 5-3/8 x 8-1/4 inch, 110-page example of Kapital und Arbeit im Dritten Reich, Hitlers Mai-Programm und seine Durchführung comes with the rare original dust jacket which was designed by D. Niebuhr. It has advertising for other labor-related books published by E.S. Mittler & Sohn on the back flap. It looks like this Third Reich book was an archival copy and never read as it shows virtually no wear and it has no offensive odor. We have never seen a better example!
This is an excellent 1933 First Edition of Kapital und Arbeit im Dritten Reich (Resources and Labor in the Third Reich) by Paul Nassen with its striking original dust jacket. The subtitle, Hitlers Mai-Programm und seine Durchführung, explains the content of this book, the implementation of new chancellor Adolf Hitler’s plans for the economy of Nazi Germany.
In his foreword author Nassen explained that all believers in National Socialism and the German Nation know that a lot of work would be involved in rebuilding Germany. Adolf Hitler clearly outlined his plans for the monumental task ahead in the Nazi Party Program, while he was campaigning, during speeches at DAF rallies, and in Parliament after he was elected Reichskanzler. He said that only through cooperation of industries, laborers and volunteers could the rebuilding of the state and economy become a reality.
Chapters in Kapital und Arbeit im Dritten Reich, Hitlers Mai-Programm und seine Durchführung cover Hitler’s speech on May 1st (Labor Day), old German Political Parties and the Class Struggle, Marxist Mistakes, Criticism of Capitalism, Competition and Private Initiatives in Third Reich Germany, Unemployment, Protection of Workers and their Savings, Tax Decreases, Decreasing the Difference between City and Country Workers, Producing for the German Market or Export Market, Foreign Trade, the Economic Catastrophe Created by the Treaty of Versailles, the Power and Misuse of Gold, and Hitler as the Patron of the Deutsche Arbeitsfront.
This 1933 First Edition about Hitler's economic recovery plans is ** SOLD **
