This is the very heavily illustrated 1941 / 1942 edition of the Weyers Taschenbuch der Kriegsflotten, a thick publication by J.F. Lehmanns of Munich with information assembled by retired German Navy Captain Alexander Bredt.

It contains an overview of Nazi Kriegmarine ships and U-Boote as well as navy ships, aircraft carriers and submarines of many foreign countries such as the United States, Egypt, Iran, Great Britain, France, Holland, Cuba, Argentina, Belgium, Denmark, Greece, Iraq, the Soviet Union, Thailand, Spain, Hungary, Venezuela, Italy, Peru, Poland, and others.

This comprehensive 5 x 6-7/8 inch, 550+ page Nazi naval encyclopedia also contains information about the performance and armaments on board new foreign naval seaplanes, naval ranks, insignia, flags, decorations, the fastest commercial ships, etc.

There are 1157 (!) images of navy ships (including a full-page 1941 photo of the huge Schlachtschiff der Bismarck-Tirpitzklasse), 4 color pages of navy flags (including Nazi naval flags) as well as conversion tables, maps and a very detailed index.

There are many pages of illustrated advertising by companies that supply the Kriegsmarine with parts, accessories and necessities for their fleet and personnel: Siemens, Krupp, Mercedes-Benz, Telefunken, IG Farben, AEG, Askana, Ruhrstahl, MAN, Neophan sunglasses, Skoda, Oberhütten, as well as cigarette and beer producers, etc. In the back there is a list of other Wehrmacht books published by J.F. Lehmanns Verlag of München.

Cover shows light wear but the content is in very good condition. A previous owner wrote his name at the top of the front end paper (an advertising page).
