The special tan covers of this album are each about 1/2-inch thick and are die-cut with six cavities that were made to hold 120 special 3-dimensional stereo photographs (REAL photographs from negatives - NOT halftone prints) and the metal viewer with glass lenses that is set up to view the photographs. The stereo photos each measure 2-3/8 x 5-1/8 inches and have a full description of the subject printed on the back. When seen in the viewer each picture is incredibly three-dimensional, almost as if the scene was being viewed in real life. It is like standing in front of Hitler's Berghof or the gothic city gate of the Hanseatic city of Rostock in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
The book was published with 200 stereo photos but unfortunately three are missing from this example. The three missing views are number 16, 31 and 187. The good news for any diligent and patient collector is that the three missing photos can be found online, and usually the cost is only in the range of $5-$10 per picture.
This very nice Third Reich 3D photograph book showcasing Hitler's Greater Germany has tan cardboard covers with a green linen spine and corners. It comes with the original Third Reich metal viewer and even has the original Nazi era Gebrauchsanweisung on how to use the metal viewing glasses. In very nice, little-used condition.
This is a rare original Third Reich example of the rare Schönstein Raumbildwerk book Deutsche Gaue (German Regions) by Alfons von Czibulka. This 216-page, 8 x 11-½ inch hardcover book was published in Munich by Raumbild-Verlag Otto Schönstein K.G. in 1938.
These Raumbild-Verlag Otto Schönstein books (Three Dimensional Picture Publishers) books were unique in that they contained photographic stereo-view cards and a fold-up metal optical device with which the photographs could be viewed. If you are not familiar with this Nazi three-dimensional photo book, you need to know that it consists of a well-written text by Alfons von Czibulka about the history and culture of Nazi Germany and contains photographs of historic and well-known landmarks, buildings and scenery in Nazi Germany.

Photos include the Kyffhäuser monument, the Goethe House in Weimar, the Christmas market on Adolf Hitler Square in Nürnberg, Walhalla near Regensburg, Adolf Hitler's alpine home the Berghof above Berchtesgaden, the famous Mangfall Bridge on the Reichsautobahn between Munich and Salzburg, the Frauenkirche in Munich, Linderhof Castle, famous cathedrals in Cologne, Aachen, Worms, Magdeburg, Ulm and Frankfurt, Rothenburg ob der Tauber, the castle and its gardens in Stuttgart, Heidelberg, Schloss Wilhelmshöhe in Kassel, Cochem on the Moselle river, the crypt in Quedlinburg with the grave of Heinrich I (hero of Reichsführer-SS Heinrich Himmler) and his wife Mathilde (shown right), Deutsche Eck in Koblenz, the Roman city gate Porta Nigra in Trier, the aviator monument at Wasserkruppe, Nürburgring racetrack, the port cities of Bremen, Kiel and Hamburg, a HJ building on the Baltic island of Rügen, the Zwinger Museum in Dresden and nearby Meissen, the Lüneburger Heide, half-timbered houses in Hildesheim, the monument of composer Händel in Halle on the Saale, the Garnison Church and Sanssouci Palace in Potsdam, the Reichskanzlei, Olympic Stadium and Brandenburg Gate in Berlin, Danzig and Königsberg in East Prussia, the city of Breslau in the East, Görlitz in Silesia, pretty alpine scenery and the Black Forest.

Photos by photographers Hans Berger, Hermann Friedrich, Ludwig Gimple, Hermann Großberger, H. Gutjahr, Heinrich Heuer, Hugo Jäger, H. Jahns, Ludwig Klüg, Hans Rudolphi, Hermann Schmalle, Otto Schönstein, Gustav Thorlichen and Walter Tröller.
