Schnelle Truppen Teil I is a 6 x 8 inch, 32 page softcover publication from the series Waffenhefte des Heeres by the Oberkommando des Heeres probably around in 1942 or 1943 (it is undated).
It is Volume I for Panzer und Panzerjäger (Tanks and Anti-Tank Artillery) as published by the Deutscher Volksverlag of Munich and printed by the NS-Gauverlag of Tirol-Vorarlberg. (Schnelle Truppen Volume II covers Schützen, Kradschützen, Panzerspähmänner, Radfahrer und Reiter).
This practical heavily illustrated promotional booklet for future Wehrmacht soldiers starts out with a short history on the creation of the armored branch of the Wehrmacht and its necessity to be able to advance at a high rate of speed on the battlefield. It explains the make-up of the tank troops, the required training as well as how the different troops operate during battle and photos show Wehrmacht tanks and anti-tank troops in action in France, in North Africa and in the Soviet Union.
Inside the back cover are large, highly-detailed illustrations with explanations of the Panzer-Kampfabzeichen and the Sturmabzeichen für Panzerjäger badge and on the back cover is a color illustrations of the Standarte of Nazi Panzer troops.
This Waffenhefte des Heeres is complete and in very good little-used condition, no odor.
