The map of 1939 shows a Grossdeutschland that includes Austria, Czechoslovakia, Danzig and the area around Königsberg as well as areas under German protection (Slovakia and Hungary) and Axis partner Italy.

This book has wonderful, accurate (if obscure) maps of Germany and a text by Karl Richard Ganzer, an anti-Semitic German author who in the early 1940s became the head of the Nazi "Institute for History of the New Germany". In 1943 he was drafted into the Wehrmacht and on 11 October 1943 he was killed in Belarus.

The back cover has spots on it, but the pages themselves are in excellent used condition.  The last page contains advertising for other Nazi books published by Lehmanns Verlag during the Third Reich.
