GENUINE NAZI WEHRMACHT LEATHER MAP CASE OR MELDEKARTENTASCHE |
Constructed of distinctive pebble grain black leather in a size of about 3 x 8 x 11 inches, there are two adjustable leather straps on the back so that it can be hung from a standard Nazi combat belt (see photo above).
Perfect for a re-enactor, mannequin or display of authentic German World War II field gear. Condition exactly as shown in our photos, no odor. Will be shipped empty.
The front compartments for pencils, maps, ruler, folding knife, etc. are covered by a large leather flap with a buckle strap to hold it closed.
This is a good empty representative example. Inside the top flap the original Wehrmacht Meldekartentasche is marked with the name of the manufacturer C. RIESE BERLIN SO16 1942. There is lettering stamped below the maker's name on the inside of the flap, but we can't decipher it.

This is a nice used World War II made and issued SS and Wehrmacht map case of the sort worn from the belts of German platoon leaders and other essential soldiers.
It is 100% original to the Third Reich era (NOT a modern made piece) and the leather is still very supple.
