This is an original example of the rare 5-1/8 x 7-1/2 inch well-illustrated Third Reich 64 page hard cover school book called Kinder, was wißt ihr vom Führer? (Children, what do you know about the Führer?) by Hermine Morgenroth and Maria Schmidt as published by Franz Schneider Verlag of Leipzig in 1933.
The book has 17 chapters about Adolf Hitler, starting with Braunau am Inn where he was born, Hitler as a courageous and brave young boy, as a teenager dreaming of becoming an architect, Hitler as a soldier in World War I, Hitler in Landsberg Prison, SA members and Horst Wessel, the road to becoming Nazi Party leader and Reichschancellor.Inside the front cover is a dedication dated December 1938 to “Sweet Luzia...” At some point someone removed page 45 (the picture of HItler in Landsberg Prison) probably to frame it, so we have replaced page 45/46 with a photocopy from an other example of the book in our archive.
