As in America and other countries, anyone in service to, or the recipient of an award from the Nazi government of Germany during the Third Reich, and particularly during World War II had a portrait made for family and loved ones. All of the portraits here were obtained in Germany in odd lots of photographs. Some had been removed from albums before we bought them but most had never been in an album. Most are not snapshots and are about postcard size on heavy photographic paper. They are NOT pictures that have been mechanically reproduced on a printing press or a photocopy machine. They are REAL Third Reich era photographs in the condition shown.
We have briefly identified the photo for what we believe it to be. Each photo has a number and if you wish to order one or more, please order by number. Virtually all these photos are one of a kind - we don’t have a stack of each print - so when they are gone, they are gone. Thanks for your understanding.

LH 1: three original Third Reich deckle edge photographs (above and left) of a young man named Heinz. All three portraits were made in the same photo studio on Rosenheimerstrasse in Munich called Photo im Osten H. Abresch. One photo shows him in his Reichsarbeitsdienst uniform with a swastika armband. The other two photos show Heinz wearing a Luftwaffe overcoat and as a Luftwaffe enlisted man with a Luftwaffe visor cap.
Photos marked 1 and 3 have a blank back, number 2 has a handwritten note to a friend by Heinz. All three portraits have a stamp from the photo studio on the back.

KM6: left - an original Third Reich photograph of a Kriegsmarine commander (Lt. Commander of the Line), Hermann Roth. He is wearing a War Merit Cross with swords, an EKII Spange and a Mine Sweeping War Badge. On the back it says "Onkel Hermann Roth (brother of Max)."

Pt 22: left - a lot of three superb original Third Reich photographs of a Luftwaffe paratrooper on his wedding day. This is as good as it gets for paratrooper NCO wedding photos. Note the Luftwaffe Ground Combat Badge, the Luftwaffe Paratrooper Badge, the
Iron Cross ribbon in buttonhole, a Luftwaffe marksmanship lanyard (2nd award).
The people in these genuine Third Reich photographs are identified as Gerda and Kurt, and the photos were taken on 17 June 1944 and their wedding day, 5 August 1944.
