III. Reich Schmuckblattelegramm
e telegrams and their folders offered here are excellent original examples of the Schmuckblattelegramm or decorative telegrams that were sold by the post offices, telephone offices and telegraph offices in the Third Reich Germany of Adolf Hitler. Each is a huge folder measuring about 11-3/4 x 16 inches printed on heavy, high-quality cardstock (they fold to 8-1/4 x 11-3/4 inches so they can be delivered in an envelope).

The best artists in Germany were commissioned to create powerful, popular images that were good enough to send when one wanted something beyond a regular telegram. The cost was only 75 Reichspfennigs (30 US cents) more than a regular telegram!
