As a memorial to the fifth Reichsparteitag (State Party Day) held in Germany under the Nazi administration of Chancellor Adolf Hitler, the NSDAP's Leiter des Zweckverbandes Reichsparteitag Nürnberg, Reichsminister Hanns Kerrl published Reichstagung in Nürnberg 1938 in cooperation with Kurt Maßmann (Kulturkreis der SA).
The big 9-¼ x 11-1/2 inch, 408 page, very heavily illustrated hardcover book presents an amazing array of photographic material and information about Reichsparteitag 1938, (Reichsparteitag Grossdeutschland or Nazi Party Day of Greater Germany) that had never been seen before in Germany or the world.

It would be the last Reichsparteitag ever held. The 1939 Nazi Party Days were canceled as a result of the German / Russian invasion of Poland and during the rest of the Third Reich no other rallies were organized.
Virtually every venue, every event, and each Nazi personality that attended the Reichsparteitag in Nürnberg in the late summer of 1938 is shown in one or more of the many dozens of large, clear black & white photographs and portraits: Hitler, Himmler, Göring, Streicher, Hess, von Schirach, Grimminger and the Blood Flag, Seyss-Inquart, Bürckel, Rosenberg, Goebbels, Dr. Porsche and Dr. Todt, Dr. Heinkel and Dr. Messerschmitt, von Tschammer und Osten, Scholtz-Klink and many others.
The superb photo content also includes Hitler Youth, SS, RAD and Political Leader marches, jubilant crowds in the city of Nürnberg and at the Nazi Party Days Grounds, KdF City, the Wehrmacht Games, BdM girls, members of the Italian Fascist and Japanese delegations, even the Sonderstempel or special Reichsparteitag 1938 postal cancelation in pictured. Leaders of the party wrote material specifically for the book and some of the more important speeches are transcribed verbatim.
The Kerrl book was very popular, and many of those who attended the 1938 Reichsparteitag bought one. The concept of an "Annual" book again proved popular.
The original example of the rare Reichstagung in Nürnberg 1938 book we offer here is from the First Edition published by Vaterländischer Verlag C.A.Weller in Berlin. The 77 year old FIVE POUND book is in very good used condition with a single exception: the bottom 3/8 of an inch of the edge of the blue BACK COVER of the book is worn through exposing the gray hard cover material inside. This defect can not be seen from the front or from the spine, only from the back.
