Volk will zu Volk - Osterreichs Deutsche Stunde (Peoples Want To Merge - Austria’s German Hour) is a fantastic and very rare Third Reich photo documentary of the reunification of Austria with Germany in 1938, focusing heavily on the similarities of the Germanic inhabitants of those two countries.

The historic events that took place in March and April of 1938 were the first step in the creation of Großdeutschland or Greater Germany.

This 128 page, 8-3/4 x 10 inch very heavily illustrated softcover book was published by Westfalen-Verlag GmbH in Dortmund in 1938.

A foreword by the State Press Chief Dr. Otto Dietrich is followed by page after page of rare black & white photos of Adolf Hitler, Hermann Göring, Goebbels, Seyss-Inquart, the Führer’s triumphant entry into Austria after the Anschluß and huge crowds of happy Austrians welcoming him in Braunau am Inn, Linz and Wien (Vienna).

There are amazing pictures of vehicles, weapons, uniforms, architecture, parades, swastika flags, etc.

This rare book is in very good used condition. The original dust jacket of this 65+ year old book shows considerable wear.
