This is a good used example of the very rare 8-1/2 x 11-3/4 inch, 190 page very, very heavily illustrated soft cover book Der Kraftfahrsport im Neuen Deutschland (Motor Vehicle Sports in the New Germany) published for the Oberste Nationale Sportbehorde für die Deutsche Kraftfahrt at the direction of NSKK Korpsführer Adolf Hühnlein by Verkehrsverlag Deutschland in Berlin in 1935. The book was assembled by Adolf Meurer with a staff of the most motor sport literate people in Nazi Germany, a cover illustration by Theo Matejko and cartoons in the text by Jonny Krause.
There are big clear photos on nearly every page that cover virtually every aspect of automobile and motorcycle racing in Europe during the Third Reich. There are pictures of Mercedes-Benz, Auto Union, Bugatti, Alfa Romeo, and other cars, BMW, NSU, DKW, Harley Davidson, Imperia, Herkules, and other motorcycles, all of which are seen in all types and classes or motor racing from fast tracks to off-road to snow.
There are photos of all the big racing stars of the time like Rudolf Caracciola, Hermann Lang, Ernst Jakob Henne, Hans Stuck, Manfred von Brauchitsch, Mansfield, Paul Weyres, Hans Soenius, Walfried Winkler, Ernst Loof, Babel, Kahrmann, Bauhofer, Rüttchen, Lei, and many, many others.
There are many photos showing the presence of the NSKK and its leadership and the administration of motor sport racing. There is even a special section with photos of those who died in racing for Germany such as Edith Frisch.
The pages which are not covered with Ionny cartoons and dramatic racing photos are covered with very finely detailed race results for tracks like Hockenheim to Ost-Preussen.
